During last years “Big Freeze at the G” you raised $2.5million. What has the foundation done with the money?
Last years Big Freeze was an amazing success, and with your help we are proud to announce that every single cent raised by you last year has gone directly into fighting the Beast. The funds have been spent helping fund the best and the brightest MND researchers around Australia through our grants-in-aid (to learn more click here), and excitingly, the money has also helped to fund 2 clinical trials due to start enrolment of Australian patients in the near future (to learn more click here)
If every dollar raised goes towards finding a cure, who pays for the costs of putting the Big Freeze 2 event on?
Excellent question. We are very fortunate to have the support of 2 major sponsors for the Big Freeze 2 project. Crownbet through their AFL community partnership, and the Melbourne Football club’s major sponsor AHG have kindly covered all major costs associated with staging this event. In addition, we have several other supporters of this campaign who have donated products and time to ensure the project goes off without an issue. All our supporters are located at the bottom of the homepage on www.freezemnd.com.
